English Adult Conversation (Speaking and Listening) Programme:

Students will learn to speak English by having intense session of questions and answers with a native level speaker of English. This method teaches English vocabulary and grammar in a careful tailored way, with systematic revision and reinforcement. Materials are based on reputable materials such as Cambridge University and British Council publications. During the lesson, there is a lot of speaking and listening practice, but there is also reading and writing skills learning so that students revise and consolidate what have been learned. Students will be provided with electronic materials to support their self learning outside the lessons.

English Summer & Winter School Programme:

i12Learn English School is assisting international students to seek quality English language courses in the UK. The English Language Summer & Winter School Programme concentrates on improving the conversational aspect of your English as well as writing skill. We firmly believe in developing each student’s communicative competence so that you are able to activate the language knowledge you already have; and build on this further, in a stimulating and motivating environment. In any typical week, you will work on developing and improving your communication skills and the focus in the classroom will be based on using language in real life situations. Students will also be provided with additional lessons in using information technology as a tool to gain further skills in future education. All students will also have the opportunity to seek guidance and advice from the School about activities opportunities during their visit to London. Certificate of Completion will be awarded to students who successfully completed a course organised by the Centre.

IELTS Programme:

Our IELTS courses focus on the Academic module, as required for entrance to University and college courses. You will be guided through the four skills of Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking; all in an academic context. There is a focus on specific IELTS exam course preparation, but you will also pick up skills and knowledge to set you on the way to a life time of personal development. The IELTS exam is held twice a month in Wimbledon (subject to availability) and the exam fee is approximately £140. The exam has 4 sections - Listening 30 minutes; Reading 60  minutes; Writing 60 minutes and Speaking & interview 10 to 15 minutes. There is no "pass" or "fail" on the IELTS exam. Results are expressed in "Bands", from Band 1 (non-user) to Band 9 (expert user). Different university courses have varying IELTS requirements, depending on the level of English required to cope adequately with a specific course.

Cambridge Exams Programme:

FCE       An upper intermediate level exam - ideal if you can deal confidently with a range of written and spoken communications.

CAE       An advanced exam - if you can communicate with confidence in English for work or study purposes, this is the exam for you.

CPE       A very advanced level exam - perfect if you have achieved a high level of language skills and are able to function effectively in almost any English-speaking context.
