A Level

GCE A Levels are qualifications normally studied by most students in year 12 and 13 of secondary school. Most students will study four or five AS Level (Advanced Subsidiary Level) subjects over one year, which they can then choose the first year of an A Level. Most students choose to take three or four A Levels, although only three are necessary to make an application to a course at university.
